Theology of Work with Dr. Courtney Davis
Are you fulfilled in your job? What if that wasn’t the point of your workplace? What if your workplace is a mission field that God has called you to?
Courtney Wong Davis, Ph.D., coaches executives and organizational leaders to explore creative solutions to complex challenges, clarifying individual values, understanding organizational culture, and facilitating confidence in moving in a new direction. She is also associate professor of communication management at Azusa Pacific University, where she teaches organizational, small group, and professional communication, while currently pursuing her coaching certification from the International Coach Federation. Her first book, Leading Small Groups that Thrive: Five Shifts to Take Your Group to the Next Level is grounded in social science research and translated to make a practical contribution to equip small group leaders to facilitate individual spiritual growth.
Her more challenging (and even more rewarding!) work is raising two boys, Luke (9) and Theo (6), alongside her husband Matt. Together, they love reading, cooking, serving their local church, riding bikes, playing board games, and enjoying big Saturday sabbath breakfasts and adventures.
Join us today as Dr. Courtney Davis challenges our thinking on the role of our workplace and how we can shift our rhythms to protect our work and our rest.
