Book Launch Party
We are just DAYS away from the book release for #openhandswillingheart. The official date is Tuesday, July 9th. So between now and then if you would like to pre-order the book at a great discount, you can also download the first two chapters of the audio book for FREE. Click here for details.
I’m excited to invite all Southern Californians to the book release party on July 13th in the Tustin Marketplace BARNES and NOBLE! Having the event in an actual book store feels so very, very official. The details are below. If you can RSVP over on the facebook event it will help us with planning. Even if you can’t make it, please share with your local friends.
My days have been filled with taping podcast interviews, reading and endorsing books, and trying to get over jet lag after returning from Rwanda six days ago. Please check out the incredible stories of the young adults we met who once were sponsored as students through Africa New Life and read about #wherearetheynowrwanda. I can’t encourage you enough to consider sponsoring a student through ANL, an organization founded and led by Rwandans in Rwanda. The first chapter of Open Hands, Willing Heart details the story of Florence Mugisha one of the founders. I loved having time with her last week and hearing more of her heart for God and for Rwanda.
Releasing a book and all that goes into getting the word out can feel overwhelming. I struggle with feeling inadequate, insecure, and not enough. Throughout the day I am repeating out loud and in my mind the verse from Romans 11:36,
For from Him, and through Him and to Him are all things.
To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
And isn’t this true for all of us regarding all of life? We keep perspective as we understand and live out our day-to-day knowing the opportunities, blessings, work set before us, and relationships are all from, through, and to God. This is the best way I know to stay grounded in the midst of difficulty and celebration.
Thank you for walking with me as book number two releases to the world. Please join me in praying the words covering the pages would land on hearts needing the message and readers would find encouragement and hope.
May we live and walk all our days with open hands and willing hearts….
